1- War of the Worlds DVD
You know the story: Invading Martians equipped with ships that shoot unstoppable disintegration rays attempt to overwhelm the Earth. Based on the novel by H.G. Wells (and adapted into a famous 1953 movie starring Gene Barry), this version stars Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning as a father and daughter trying to keep one step ahead of the destroying Martians while humanity tries to muster a defense … any defense! Steven Spielberg directs.
2- I, Robot DVD
Inspired by Isaac Asimov's work, this techno-thriller stars Will Smith as Del Spooner, a mid-21st century Chicago cop investigating the murder of a scientist. Wary of technology, Spooner's not the perfect man for the job, but he takes it on anyway, aided by expert Dr. Susan Calvin (Bridget Moynahan). When Spooner discovers that an android (Alan Tudyk) may be the culprit, he realizes the entire human race could be at the mercy of machines.
3- Fantastic Four DVD
During a space voyage, four scientists are altered by cosmic rays: Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) gains the ability to stretch his body; Sue Storm (Jessica Alba) can become invisible and create force fields; Johnny Storm (Chris Evans) controls fire; and Ben Grimm (Michael Chiklis) is turned into a super-strong … thing! Together, these "Fantastic Four" must thwart the evil plans of Dr. Doom (Julian MacMahon). Tim Story directs.
4- Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow DVD
When scientists the world over keep disappearing without a trace, it's up to reporter Polly Perkins (Gwyneth Paltrow) and top aviator Sky Captain (Jude Law) to find out the truth. The dangerous task will involve putting their lives at risk as they travel to treacherous locales, hoping to throw a wrench in the sinful plan of Dr. Totenkopf, who aims to wipe out the planet. Franky Cook (Angelina Jolie) and Dex (Giovanni Ribisi) assist the pair.
5- Paycheck DVD
Michael Jennings (Ben Affleck) is a genius who's hired -- and paid handsomely -- by high-tech firms to work on highly sensitive projects, after which his short-term memory is erased so he can't breach security. But at the end of a 3-year job, he's told he isn't getting a paycheck and instead receives a mysterious envelope. In it are clues he must piece together to find out why he wasn't paid and how he's gotten in hot water. Co-stars Uma Thurman.
6- Minority Report DVD
Thrills, spills and kills -- well, not the last, if Tom Cruise can help it. Cruise plays John Anderton, a top Pre-Crime cop in the late-21st century, when technology can predict crimes before they're committed. But Anderton becomes the quarry when another investigator (Colin Farrell) targets him for a murder charge. Can Anderton find a glitch in the system and prove his innocence before it's too late?
7- Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines DVD
Just as he promised, the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is back to aid his former nemesis, a now-adult John Connor (Nick Stahl). It's been 10 years since John saved Earth from Judgment Day, and he's now living under the radar, using no phones, credit cards or anything Skynet can trace. That is, until he encounters T-X (Kristanna Loken), a robotic assassin whose mission is to finish what T-1000 started. Co-stars Claire Danes.
8- Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith DVD
In the third and final installment of the Star Wars prequel trilogy, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) and Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman) are married, and General Grievous leads the Confederacy in a battle against the Republic. Darth Sidious (Ian McDiarmid) lures war-weary Anakin to the dark side, forcing Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) to fight against his former pupil. Samuel L. Jackson and Jimmy Smits also star.
9- The Matrix: Reloaded DVD
Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne Moss are back in the roles they made famous in the original, special-effects-studded, sci-fi crowd-pleaser The Matrix. After Zion, the last outpost still under human control, is discovered, the battle against the machines that have enslaved people in the Matrix reaches peak intensity -- and Neo (Reeves), Morpheus (Fishburne), Trinity (Moss) and the rest of the gang must soldier on.
10- Signs DVD
Everything farmer and pastor Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) believed about the world changes when he discovers an intricate pattern of 500-ft. circles carved into his fields. The mysterious markings cause a media frenzy and test Hess's faith as he journeys to discover their origin. What he finds will forever alter his and his family's lives. M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable) wrote and directed this sci-fi thriller.
